A "CRUISE-OUT" WITH A PURPOSE

The average contest includes many boats from various yacht clubs and each contest is hosted by one of ten different yacht clubs. This permits the NCPCA contestants to meet and enjoy people from a variety of clubs. A typical day sees us arriving after the race at the host club early in the afternoon, stern tied along with other contestants in time to have lunch, take a nap, and tell stories on how well we did during the contest. We then visit the host club for refreshments and dinner, letting the suspense build as we anxiously await the results of the day's contest.

After dinner, there is a raffle with a wide assortment of prizes; then the Commodore relates all the "hard-luck" stories" and "flat starts" (0 errors at the start line), and presents the trophies as the count down is made from fifth place to the first place winner.

We are confident that you will enjoy the challenge, camaraderie and fun of Over-the-Bottom contests. We invite you to either enter a contest (we'll provide individual instruction), or just ride along with one of us. Let us show you the difference between a club's cruise-out and a "cruise-out with a purpose!"
